Thanks to modern, service-oriented architecture, the iTAC.MES.Suite is able to make available interfaces to different ERP systems.
Bidirectional database interfaces connect the ERP/PPS level with the shop floor and enable the necessary exchange of data.
This bidirectional communication with different manufacturing systems is made possible via a number of standardized software functions (API – Service Adapter), which are integrated into the manufacturing systems, system control computers, testing systems or PLC.
A continuous ”active closed-loop traceability“ across the complete supply chain is possible. This tests every stage of production to ensure the highest quality and transparency of information throughout.
The transfer tables of the database interfaces are defined in a separate database schema and can be used in different ways by ERP systems. ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Infor, QAD, Microsoft etc.) can also access the transfer tables directly and import new records, which are processed following verification by the iTAC [ERP] Service Adapter.

Less administration work is required as product definitions can be fully adopted automatically (1:1) (master data administration).
The system is less susceptible to errors because production is independent of human error.
Master data (product, BOM, resources etc.) as well as movement data (material data, lot information, orders, order-related BOMs, inventory, order feedback) are read and verified automatically.
No additional data need to be captured.
Data can also be returned (bidirectional).
Feedback processes are in real time.
The higher planning accuracy resulting in faster delivery is a valuable aid, especially as punctual delivery has become a critical factor for success.
