Manufacturing Execution System software company ramps up global activities...
As the markets strive to recover following the global economic crisis, iTAC Software AG reports above-average results year-to-date in 2010. The Manufacturing Execution System (MES) specialist attributes its success to strong, relevant functionality deployed using future-proof technology to ensure high customer investment security.
One of the main
growth drivers is the iTAC.MES.Suite Release 7, which was launched at the
beginning of the year. It boasts a
comprehensive range of functions, can be flexibly adapted and is deployable in
many industries. The system creates a bridge
between planning and production to facilitate problem-free production
workflows. It enables faster, more cost
effective and higher quality process implementation - factors relevant to many
manufacturing enterprises.
New customers and global software roll-outs - a measure
of success
Since the
beginning of the year, iTAC has considerably expanded its international user
base. Johnson Controls, for example, is implementing
a world-wide roll-out of the iTAC.MES.Suite where production facilities are
being deployed in phases. The software is already up and running in Skopje
(Macedonia), Reynosa (Mexico) and Bir-el-Bay (Tunisia), with further
deployments in the next phase scheduled in Laferté (France) and Shanghai (PR
China).
Hella KGaA Hueck & Co. is well advanced in its global deployment program. Most
recently in Romania, state of the art integration to all Fuji machines was
implemented.. This comprehensive upgrade enables the real-time connection of
highly complex SMT machine parks. The iTAC solution was also successfully implemented
in the Mando
Hella Electronics joint venture in Korea,
while in parallel an additional MDE dashboard was integrated at the Flora, USA
production facility. A key advantage of the solution is the efficiency
improvement through KPI evaluation at the US production facility for each individual
production line. In the same period, Siemens AG’s Healthcare plant in Erlangen went
live with the complete range of system functions.
Nord Stream AG – iTAC
supports construction of the Baltic Sea Pipeline
iTAC supplied the Pipe Tracking System that has been in use since
construction and installation work on the Baltic Sea Pipeline for Nord Stream AG commenced in April 2010.
The tracking system provides real-time monitoring of the entire logistics
supply chain and pipeline installation process, from pipe manufacture through
interim stages such as finishing and sandblasting to polishing. All supplier
company data is sent to the central data centre, where they are stored,
evaluated and continuously updated. This means they will also be available for
the operation and maintenance of the Baltic Sea Pipeline in the future.
Automotive supplier, Huf,
implements MES to ensure high product quality
iTAC has another new customer in the automotive supply sector: Huf Hülsbeck &
Fürst GmbH & Co. KG is implementing the iTAC.MES.Suite in its electronics
plants. The initial phase of the program is focused on the Puebla (Mexico)
site. Phase II is committed for the German Huf Electronics GmbH plant in
Düsseldorf. The Huf Group has around 4,800 employees in 16 countries and is
market leader in the segments of automation, testing technology, mould
construction, plastics technology, RFID systems and laser technology.
David Burger,
Chief Executive Officer of iTAC, explained, "The
growth in our customer base confirms the strengthening in demand for MES
applications – from single-site projects to enterprise-wide roll-outs. Production data quality & consistency, from the
shop-floor through to the board room, are now recognized as of critical
importance for manufacturing enterprises. iTAC’s
strong results year-to-date and promising order pipeline support our ongoing
positive outlook."
