iTAC certified by iTAC Software AG has been awarded the new ISO certification DIN ISO 9001:2008 by DQS GmbH, the German Association for Certification of Management Systems.
In order to evaluate the quality of products and production processes, the iTAC.MES.Suite provides analysis and reporting functions for all product-relevant quality data. The data can be directly evaluated during the production process and thus reflects the current quality of production.
Using measurement data, failure data and its statistical evaluation, processes can be analyzed in detail and failures avoided within a continuous improvement process even before beginning production.
Quality data can be easily exchanged between the manufacturer and the supplier.
The iTAC.MES.Suite performs four different types of quality analysis:
Resource analysis
Product analysis
Fault analysis
Measurement value analysis
Resource analysis
The resource analysis provides information on which system or station a product has been manufactured and at which quality level. The key figures are First Pass Yield (FPY), yield and the ppm-rate.*
The resource analysis also checks whether a testing system has been used correctly. The evaluation of the measurement equipment can prevent pseudo-error rates.
The iTAC.MES.Suite provides a graphical overview which shows whether the failure has been caused by resources or by the process itself in order to define shut-downs, restrictions or changes in the processes.
Product analysis
The product analysis provides information about the actual quality of the manufactured product from which conclusions about the manufacturing process can be made. Product families and products can be compared to one another and dedicated evaluations of the individual work steps which a product passes through can be performed.
Fault analysis
The fault analysis identifies the focus of a fault within the whole company, certain areas of production or in individual processes. The analysis can show the relationship of the fault with the mounted materials and components and forms the qualitative evaluation of materials for which the supplier or producer was originally responsible. This can serve as a direct benefit for supplier evaluation.
In addition, the evaluation of faults according to relevance (Pareto analysis) enables the detection and display of the most severe faults that are to be eliminated.
The Online Process Monitor of the iTAC.MES.Suite visualizes these manufacturing faults and quality deviations in real-time and thus acts preventively to ensure quality.
Measurement value analysis
The measurement data of different product-specific testing features is displayed, compared and statistically evaluated.
With the aid of the measurement value analysis
the quality level can be assessed,
problems can be detected and
faults can be eliminated.
The process capability indices (Cp and Cpk) report how high the process potential (Cp) and actual process capability (Cpk) are in relation to each individual characteristic. Complex manual sample analyses are automated and evaluated with the help of the iTAC.MES.Suite by observing the main unit. The FPY describes the number of fault-free products manufactured in the first pass without need of repair. The yield specifies the quality for certain resources, e.g. the number of flat modules which have left the production process without faults. The ppm-rate is the number of defects per one million possibilities.
