iTAC certified by iTAC Software AG has been awarded the new ISO certification DIN ISO 9001:2008 by DQS GmbH, the German Association for Certification of Management Systems.
The iTAC.ARTES (Advanced Reliable Technology for Enterprise Systems) Framework provides the necessary technological layer in order to drive the State-Of-The-Art Enterprise applications on the basis of the standardized Enterprise Edition Java Platform (Middleware). In addition to clustering with Failover and LoadBalancing mechanisms and a highly-efficient communication protocol, monitoring of the cluster is also combined in this layer. iTAC.ARTES consists mainly of 3 technology components:
ARTES.HAS (High Availability Services)
In this component, cluster management, cluster configuration, transparent automatic Failover and LoadBalancing are processed. Hereby, the interaction of available cluster nodes and the necessary functional service is coordinated. The LoadBalancing is based upon “real“ load investigation and furnishes an optimum load distribution in the cluster. Through the very easy dynamic addition of new cluster nodes to an existing cluster, usage as a cloud system is realistically simple. Hereby, a very simple scaling of the iTAC.MES.Suite is enabled in the presence of rising demands.
ARTES.HAP (High Availability Protocol)
The binary protocol iHAP is an iTAC implementation which is specially optimized to the requirements of high-availability in the presence of simultaneous resource-protection of band width and CPU loading. Furthermore, it integrates itself smoothly into the Java Enterprise environment. Through low demands on band width, it is ideally suited for deployment in WAN environments e.g. with central hosting. ARTES.HAP is transported via HTTP or optionally transported via encrypted HTTPS and thereby makes lower demands on the network infrastructure (e.g. firewall configurations).
ARTES.MON (Monitoring)
Monitoring of the whole server cluster with its attached client components is realized by means of ARTES.MON layers. ARTES.MON ensures access to all important operating parameters of the different servers- as well as client-related processes. Further, ARTES.MON provides interfaces, in order to be able to relay this monitoring data, if so required, to external network management monitoring systems (e.g. by means of JMX, SNMP, …). And furthermore, the ”ARTES Management Center“ includes a simple WEB-based screen , in order to gain a quick overview around the application server cluster with its attached client components.
