Robert Hoog, Chairman
After his studies in economic engineering, Robert Hoog began his career at Hewlett-Packard GmbH in Böblingen, Germany in 1978.
During the 18 years he was at HP Robert Hoog held a number of executive positions in sales, marketing and management until he left in 1996. His last position at Hewlett-Packard was as General Manager for Network and System Administration (NSMDs) with international responsibility for the OpenView system administration software. In 1996 Robert Hoog took on the position of Vice President and General Manager for the Middleware division at Siemens Nixdorf AG. A year later he became executive Vice President and General Manager for the Siemens Nixdorf Open Enterprise Computing Group (OEC) and a member of the Board at Siemens Nixdorf.
From 1998 to 1999 Robert Hoog was executive Vice President and General Manager of Siemens ICP Computer Systems and was President of Fujitsu Siemens Computer GmbH until April 2000. From 2000 to 2004 Robert Hoog was Chairman of the Board and Head of Worldwide Business Operations of IXOS Software AG.
Thomas Güntzer, Vice Chairman
Thomas Güntzer is a German lawyer who studied in Munich, Lausanne and Regensburg. Before he joined Pari Capital AG Thomas Güntzer was responsible for private equity investments in German-speaking countries at PPM Venture Ltd, a subsidiary of Prudential Plc. He was also a member of the Supervisory Board of several middle-sized companies. Previously, Thomas Güntzer had been the Vice President for venture capital and corporate finance at Ermgassen & Co. in London and completed transactions in Germany, the UK, Benelux, Scandinavia, Italy, Spain, the USA and Russia. He also gained experience at MG Services in Frankfurt and New York where he was responsible for project financing.
Dr. Thomas Hoch
Thomas Hoch is
Managing Director of EVP Capital Management AG, which was established through
an MBO of equinet Venture Partners AG. EVP Capital Management AG currently
manages four VC funds. Dr. Hoch is responsible for the selection and business
value enhancement of companies in the IT sector. Until 2008 he
was Chairman and Managing Partner of Venture Partners AG and founding partner
of equinet AG, a specialised investment bank focusing on small and mid-cap
companies. Prior to founding equinet Venture Partners in 1998, Dr. Hoch was a
consultant and project manager at McKinsey & Co for more than 6 years. He
focused on information technology and telecommunications there, gaining
extensive experience in strategy development and the management of technology
enterprises. Dr. Hoch studied Computer Science and Business Administration in
Darmstadt, Göttingen and Chicago, USA.
Friedrich Bornikoel
Friedrich Bornikoel is Managing Partner of TVM Capital with 20 years of experience in the VC sector. He represents TVM Capital on the Supervisory Board of alfabet AG, iTAC Software AG and VPIsystems Inc. He was on the Supervisory Board of SCM Microsystems, a former lead investment of TVM Capital, as well as many other portfolio companies. Before he joined TVM Capital in 1987 he was at the Federal Ministry of Research and Technology as Manager of a program to promote research and development plans in micro-system technology: semi-conductor sensors, fiber-optic sensors, integrated optics in sensors and special components. Before this, Friedrich Bornikoel was project leader at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solids Technology in Munich. He is a physicist and studied at the Technical University in Munich.
